President Abdel Fattah Sisi confirmed that Egypt continues its earnest efforts in cooperation with partners to facilitate the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, despite the difficulties and repeated setbacks these endeavors face.
In his statement regarding the developments in the sector, the President said, "I am speaking now because the situation inside Gaza has become tragic over the past months, and it is no longer tolerable. Therefore, it is necessary to work on allowing the entry of as much humanitarian aid as possible, whether food, medical, or otherwise, which can contribute to alleviating the crisis."
President Sisi added, "I want to reassure all Egyptians; never imagine that Egypt can take a negative stance towards our brethren in Palestine. Despite the difficulty of the situation, this is something that cannot happen."
The President emphasized the constants of Egypt's role in the Palestinian issue, saying, "We are undertaking a noble, respected, and sincere role, which is a fixed role that does not and will not change. I remind you that we do not waver, and we strive with all diligence to find solutions and end this issue."
President Sisi also directed a general appeal to the international community, saying, "I call on the European Union, the United States, and our brethren in the region to exert maximum efforts to stop the war and allow humanitarian aid."
He specifically addressed former U.S. President Donald Trump with a special appeal, saying, "I direct an appeal to President Trump, out of the personal respect I have for him, due to my conviction of his capabilities and stature. He is one of those who can help end this war. I say to you: please exert all your efforts to end the war and ensure the entry of aid, and I believe the time has indeed come to put an end to what is happening
